Q: How long does each service take?
A: Each service (Makeup or Hair) takes approximately 45-60 minutes. Hollywood waves take an extra 45 minutes.
Q: Do you offer false eyelash application?
A: Yes, lashes are offered with all makeup applications (if the client would like them).
Q: Do you have a minimum/maximum amount of services?
A: Saturday weddings have a minimum of $400. For non-bridal services we require a minimum booking of 2 services if the distance is over 20 mins from 20110 ( ex: hair & makeup or 2 makeup applications).
Maximum Services- Sandra can take on a maximum of 6-7 services on her own. Bridal parties requiring more services will require additional artists. Each additional artist has a booking fee of $100. *Upon availability
Q: I don’t normally wear makeup , will it feel heavy or cakey?
A: We make sure to prep the skin and apply makeup products in light layers to avoid the “cakey” effect. We also check during the makeup application to see how the makeup “feels” on your skin.
Q: Do you do bridal trials?
A: Yes! I absolutely recommend trials for brides prior to the wedding. During your trial we will design your bridal look, try a few variations of the makeup/hair looks you like, and we will make sure you are 100% happy with your look. The trial usually takes longer than the actual wedding day services. I’ve found the best time for a trial is about 10-12 weeks before the wedding. Trials are typically held on weekday or Sunday mornings in my home studio located in Manassas. This also helps you see how your makeup will wear throughout the day.
Q: What types of makeup products do you use?
A: We use a mix of high end & high quality makeup products ranging from Mac Cosmetics, Charlotte Tillbury, Limelife, Temptu, Laura Mercier, Anastasia Beverley Hills, RCMA, Face Atelier, Lorac, Smashbox, Viseart, Nyx, and many others.
Q: Do you offer airbrush foundation application?
A: Yes, we offer airbrush foundation application. Airbrush foundation is extremely long wearing and has a light-weight feel. Traditional foundations can also be extremely long lasting and look beautiful. Together we can figure out which foundation will work best for you.
Q: Where is your home studio located?
A: My home studio is located in near Old Town Manassas, Virginia and for mileage purposes you can use zip code 20110. I travel within the Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. area. Travel fees apply to distances over 20 minutes from 20110.
